Art Slam 2013 is the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco’s sixth slide exhibition of works by artists with disabilities, developed in partnership with the Access Advisors of the Fine Arts Museums and the Arts and Disabilities Network. Each slide in the presentation will be displayed in the Koret Auditorium on Saturday, November 2, 2013 beginning at 1pm. Slides will include the image of the artwork, name of the artist, and a brief artists statement. Artists are asked to address the Art Slam 2013 theme of “YOUtopia: The Best Place to Live Ever” in their submissions and are asked to submit their artwork following the requirements in the attached Art Slam 2013 entry form. Please be sure to include information about the artist, the year the work was completed, medium and dimensions, and the artist’s statement (up to forty-five words).
Art Slam 2013 is open to all artists with disabilities who are at least eighteen years old. There is no entry fee or review process as Art Slam is unjuried. 225 artists entries can be accommodated. All entries must be postmarked by September 16, 2013 in order to be considered.
