Whim W’Him, an award winning contemporary dance company based in Seattle is seeking artist submissions for the company’s Seattle premiere of Instantly Bound, a creation inspired by recent school shootings and the issue of gun control. Artists who are interested in submitting artwork around this theme are invited to submit photos of their work for review by a committee of Whim W’Him artists. Selected artists will be asked to drop off their art at The Playhouse at Seattle Center (formerly Intiman Theatre) between the hours of 4p and 10p on Wednesday January 15th, and pick up art on Sunday evening January 19th between 9-10p unless otherwise arranged. The curated show will be on-site at The Playhouse during Whim W’Him’s three performances January 17-19th, and will be viewed by 1200 attendees. Each participating artist will receive two complementary tickets to each performance and encouraged to attend and interact with audience members. Email images, artist biography and size of relevant work to Selected participants will be notified by January 7th.
