Community Roots Housing (CRH) believes in quality places to live for people from all walks of life. We develop and manage affordable homes for over 2000 residents in nearly 50 buildings across the Seattle area. 12th Ave Arts is our mixed-use building in the center of the Capitol Hill Arts District. Since 2015, 12th Ave Arts has been home to award-winning dance, theatre, and music serving more than 20,000 patrons annually.
To energize the Grand Lobby at 12th Ave Arts, CRH is seeking to procure provocative, innovative works of art that respond to the theme of neighbors and neighborhood. This includes—but is not limited to— paintings, textiles, photography, mixed media, murals, and interactive works that can occupy large display areas in a public gathering space.
Proposals may include multiple pieces and may be new or existing work. This installation is planned for:
- Theatre Entry: 15’ x 30’ wall with 15’ ceiling capable of hanging installation art above audience
Lobby art is curated by CRH and Black Box Operations, the master tenant of two performing arts spaces that open off the lobby. The Theatre Entry installation is desired in late Summer 2025.
