Aquatica: Works About Water and its Environment / Calls & Submissions

Deadline
January 26, 2026

Organization Name: Manifest Creative Research Gallery and Drawing Center

Organization Location: Cincinnati, OH

Type: Calls & Submissions

Fee: $45+

Discipline:

The Cincinnati based non-profit arts organization and gallery, Manifest, invites visual artists and designers to submit works that explore water as subject, symbol, and environment—revealing its wonder, acknowledging its fragility, and embracing its enigma. Open to all traditional and non-traditional genre and media, including 2D, 3D, etc.

For centuries, water has served as a potent metaphor for emotion, memory, spirituality, and time. In calmness it offers clarity and truth; in turbulence it reveals volatility and vulnerability. In its dual nature, water reminds us that perception is always shaped by the medium through which it flows.

Includes honorarium of $50 for each exhibiting artist, and Grand Jury Award of $1,000 for one jury-selected work from among the exhibits on view.
