Residency Focus

The Jane King Lane Community College Artist Residency is designed to foster reciprocal learning and creative exchange. We are seeking artists who are eager to:

  • Collaborate in Instruction: Work closely with LCC Arts Division faculty and staff to integrate artistic practice into existing curriculum through workshops, guest lectures, demonstrations, or collaborative projects.
  • Produce or Present Work: Share their artistic process and creations with students, faculty, and the general public through a variety of formats, including but not limited to:
    – Workshops
    – Classes
    – Performances
    – Exhibitions
    – Open studio hours
  • Engage with Students and Community: Actively interact with LCC students, providing mentorship, feedback, and inspiration. We also encourage meaningful engagement with the broader community through public programs or partnerships.
  • Create a New Work of Art or Performance: Produce a new work of art or performance on campus during the residency period. This work should reflect the artist’s practice and incorporate elements of their engagement with LCC students or the campus environment.
