Open to all who create—sculptors and painters, writers and musicians, performers and dreamers alike. If you are searching for a quiet refuge to nurture new ideas, to immerse yourself in process, and to shape your own path within a self-guided live/work residency, this space awaits you.

Cascina dell’Arte is a place “where art meets heritage.” It is founded with a simple yet vital vision: to provide artists with the time, space, and freedom to focus on the projects that matter most to them. Set in a restored rural farmhouse in Northern Italian countryside, Cascina dell’Arte offers live-work environments combining historic charm with contemporary artistic facilities, encouraging experimentation, reflection and creative exchange.

What we offer

Residential accommodation on site, so you live where you work.

Facilities appropriate to any media: open studio plans, light, space for large-scale work, workshops or outdoor/indoor project areas.
A supportive, artistic environment—quiet but sociable; a place to concentrate and also to exchange with others if desired.
The freedom to treat the residency as you wish: no required obligations, structure is up to you. Use the time as creation, research, rest, reinvention. Your self-driven programme.

Who can apply
Open to all creative practitioners—sculptors, painters, writers, chefs, musicians, performance artists, and beyond. If you are seeking the time and space to focus on new projects in a serene setting, within a self-directed live/work residency, this opportunity is for you.
Proposals from individuals or small collaborative groups are welcome.
Applicants must be able to stay for between 1 and 3 months.

Practicalities & Selection
Residencies begin March 2026 and can run continuously for 1-3 months at a time.
Studio size and type will be allocated depending on the applicant’s practice, needs and available space.
There is a residency fee – details will be clarified upon acceptance.
Applications will be evaluated on artistic merit, coherence of proposal, clarity of what you hope to do/use during the residency, and fit to the available studio & timeline.

How to apply
Send a proposal including:
Description of your current artistic practice.
What you plan to do during the residency (goals, process, possible outputs).
Preferred duration (1 / 2 / 3 months) and your ideal start date in or after March 2026.
Studio / space requirements (size, type of space, particular facilities).
Portfolio / images of recent work.
CV or résumé.
