We are seeking a dedicated and organized individual interested in making an impact in the lives of accomplished women artists across Washington. We invite experienced candidates to apply to SOLA (Support of Old Lady Artists), a nonprofit arts organization, for a part-time contract Development Director. This position is mostly remote, with occasional on-site events and bi-weekly meetings in the Seattle, WA region. This key role will be pivotal to our small and passionate leadership team.

SOLA (Support of Old Lady Artists) is a 501c3 nonprofit organization headquartered in Seattle, WA, committed to championing the creative legacy of artists across Washington State. Established in 2016 by internationally recognized artist Ginny Ruffner, SOLA has been a steadfast advocate for the artistic community, providing professional support, networking and community building events, and, notably, elevating the recognition of mature women artists with the SOLA Award including cash grants, brief videos highlighting career accomplishments, and ongoing leadership opportunities for SOLA Awardees. Our annual award is rooted in the empowerment of female visual artists over the age of 60, currently residing and working in Washington State, and who have enriched our cultural landscape with a body of work spanning at least 25 years.

The ideal candidate will oversee and actively contribute to all fundraising efforts, encompassing grant applications, donor relations, and fundraising campaigns. You will play a crucial role in shaping and executing our development strategy to advance our mission of supporting mature women visual artists. The successful candidate will thrive as an independent worker, adept at efficiently managing their workload. Strong collaboration and communication skills, flexibility and solid fundraising experience are essential to leverage the deep nonprofit arts experience within our small, but dynamic leadership team.

Compensation
Competitive pay range of $40,000 to $52,000 annually for part time position, commensurate with experience.
Contracted position up to 30+/- hours/week
$750/quarterly health care honorarium
