BAC is pleased to announce our first juried annual call to artists, for the Fresh Talent Exhibition.
Bainbridge Arts and Crafts is a nonprofit gallery that brings free art education and outreach to communities across Kitsap County. We are one of the region’s largest nonprofit galleries, supporting the livelihood of more than 200 Northwest artists while serving close to 10,000 youth, adults, and seniors each year through more than 100 free programs—inside and outside of the gallery space. We present more than a dozen special exhibitions each year, showcasing brand-new or recent works by Washington and Oregon artists. Some exhibitions center around broad themes such as a specific medium or conceptual idea. Others feature solo artists or small groups. We also hold two student shows each May to highlight the work of K-12 artists in our community.
• Exhibition dates: October 1 – 31, 2021 with artists reception Friday October 1, from 6 – 8 pm
• Entry deadline is August 1, 2021
• Artists will be notified by August 20, 2021 • Artwork to be received at BAC by September 10, 2021
• Unsold artwork to be picked up by November 2, 2021
Open to visual artists of all ages, emerging and established, residing in either Washington or Oregon. All mediums are accepted including, but not limited to, painting, sculpture, glass, metals, photography, video, mixed media, fiber, and ceramics.
Entry fee: $25. Each entrant may submit between one and three images for consideration. All images must be in .jpg format and videos in .mov or mp4 format. Each image should include the title, medium(s), size, year of completion, and retail price. All works must be for sale. Any winning entry will be subject to a standard 50% gallery sales commission in the event that it sells.
The artist is responsible for ALL shipping costs including return shipping of all unsold work.
