The Goetemann Artist Residency at Rocky Neck Art Colony provides each of three visual artists and one environmental/installation artist with a four-week stay in a live-work studio with access to the rich cultural community of Gloucester. Selected artists demonstrate a high caliber of work, originality and seriousness of purpose, and all are expected to give opening and closing talks as a part of the program.
The Residency studio sits on the Smith Cove waterfront in the heart of the Rocky Neck Art Colony in Gloucester, Massachusetts. There is plenty of privacy for working but just outside the doorstep is a vibrant community of working artists and galleries.
