We invite Seattle-area contemporary dance artists to apply to the James Ray Residency and Touring Project (JRRTP), a program of the Seattle International Dance Festival (SIDF). The application portal opens October 6, 2025 and closes November 14, 2025. The residency begins January 1, 2026. Information and application at the link below.

JRRTP is a comprehensive program that includes financial support, touring development and support, free rehearsal space, business/operations consulting, and a fully-produced performance at the Seattle International Dance Festival on June 10-11, 2026. The program will award four Seattle-area based contemporary dance artists/companies time and resources to fully develop their work, steward and grow new and current donors and patrons, and create better systems to facilitate the creative-performance cycle. The program also fosters the local dance ecology and enriches the city’s cultural landscape by supporting Seattle-area artists.

November 14, 2025: Application closes at 11:59 pm PT
November 25, 2025: All applicants notified of results
January 2026: Residency period begins
