The Hatchery is a play development festival celebrating and supporting new works for the stage that center music and movement. Now in its third year, Many Hats Collaboration presents two workshop performances, which are the culmination of an 11-day rehearsal process and multi-month pre-production phase. One of the projects is a commissioned work, and the other is selected based on proposals submitted by artists. In this, our third year of The Hatchery, we are expanding our rehearsal period and number of performances for both projects. Our selection panel represents a diverse group of theater artists who will be reviewing all proposals to provide an evaluation process that is equitable and reflects Many Hats’ goals to produce stories from underrepresented and marginalized groups.
