The Twisp Creative District invites artists or artist groups to propose designs for sculptural bike racks that function as both practical bicycle parking and distinctive public art elements. The racks should be durable, weather-resistant, and appropriate for heavy public use.
Eligibility: Open to individual artists and artist teams. Washington State residents are encouraged to apply; regional and national artists are also welcome.
Budget: Total project budget: $20,600. This amount includes design, fabrication, and installation of 8 bike racks with 16 bike stalls total in 5 locations.
Submission Requirements:
•Artist statement (1 page maximum)
•Portfolio of relevant public art or functional sculpture work (5–10 images withcaptions)
•Preliminary concept description or sketch
