Gregory Vita (1990–2017) was a dedicated, persevering, and deeply talented papermaker, paper marbler, bookmaker, and printmaker. At Pyramid Atlantic Art Center, he filled many roles—resident artist, teacher, skateboarder, and the friend you could always turn to with your boldest creative ideas.

In honor of Greg’s spirit and legacy, and through the generosity of his family and friends, Pyramid Atlantic is proud to offer an artist residency in his name.

Residency Includes
One to three-month residency in Pyramid’s paper studio
Key access with 24-hour studio use
Two papermaking workshops from the summer workshop lineup
Three four-hour lessons in other studios with Pyramid’s artistic associates
Flat file and limited storage space for tools and materials
Use of standard shop supplies

Eligibility
Applicants will be selected based on artistic merit, demonstrated interest, and potential in paper arts. Papermaking experience is required.

Projects may include papermaking, pulp painting, paper sculpture, paper marbling, book arts, printmaking, or a combination of these practices.

Applications are reviewed by a panel of artists and arts administrators.
