About
Ally Ang is a gaysian poet & editor based on the occupied Duwamish and Coast Salish lands known as Seattle. Their work has been nominated for the Pushcart Prize and Best of the Net and has been published in Columbia Journal, Muzzle Magazine, The Margins, Queer Nature: A Poetry Anthology, Nepantla: An Anthology Dedicated to Queer Poets of Color, and elsewhere. Ally is a 2022 Jack Straw Writers Program fellow and Tin House summer workshop participant. They are a grant writer for Forward Together, a reproductive justice nonprofit; a poetry editor for Game Over Books, a small press based in Boston; and a reader for Palette Poetry. Ally has been a featured reader at the Arts Equity Summit, the University of Washington Recognition Gala, the American Repertory Theater, ORIGINS: An Asian Arts Festival, and more. Ally is currently working on their first full-length poetry collection. When not writing, Ally can be found gazing at bodies of water or doting on their cat, Gomez.
