About

Aaron Haba (Camano Island) creates a wide range of sculptural pieces, including gallery installations and site-specific outdoor sculptures. His work had already been shown nationally when, in 2011, he completed both Artist Trust’s EDGE Profesional Development Program and a residency in France, leading to his inclusion in numerous recent group shows in the Northwest and New York City. He was the first artist selected for the Residency Program introduced in 2012 by Anchor Art Space in Anacortes and Method Gallery has offered him his first solo show in Seattle during May/June 2014.

In 2015, Aaron recieved a Fellowship to attend an arts residency at Millay Colony for the Arts. Aaron received a 2013 GAP to purchase new camera equipment with HD video capabilities in addition to a stereo microphone and lighting kit, which would enable documentation of the interaction between his work and the elements. The sculptures and installations created by Aaron often exist for a short period of time. Equipment purchased with his GAP will assist with Aaron’s goal of improving the quality of  presentation and exploring new directions.
