About

Ali Victoria Pressler is a multimedia artist and photographer based in Seattle, WA. Working primarily with analog photography, installation, and short experimental film, their practice explores themes of emotional memory, tactile perception, and the surreal. Drawing on a background in New Media and Photography, Ali’s work invites viewers into quiet, layered worlds where slowness and texture are central to the narrative experience.

Their work has been exhibited throughout Seattle in spaces such as Alice Gallery, Georgetown Super8 Film Festival, BEMIS, and featured by independent arts publications like MUFF Magazine and Vignettes. Additionally, Ali completed an artist residency at Sou’wester Arts in Ilwaco, WA, where they developed a fabric installation exploring softness, repetition, and repair. With over 7 years of experience in analog portraiture and fine art photography, Ali often incorporates handmade processes—including textile work and hand-processed emulsion lifts into their work to create tactile, emotionally charged visual environments.

Born and raised in Seattle, Ali studied at a selective arts-focused middle school before earning a BFA in New Media/Photography. In 2024, they completed an accreditation in Creative and Art Direction through Bookshop School of Ads, a LA–based design school focused on contemporary creative strategy.

By day, Ali works as a freelance art director and barista. They’ve collaborated with a variety of reputable agencies to bring their thoughtful, analog-informed sensibility to campaigns for notable brands like Puget Sound Energy, QuickBooks, NY Mets, Western Digital and others.

Outside the studio, Ali can often be found riding their vintage 1979 Baretta moped, wandering the Washington coast with their cattle dog Lou, or learning lap steel guitar.
