Alice Tippit

Alice Tippit received 2006 GAP Award funding for expenses related to finishing and promoting a new body of work. Her installation, The Artful Scheme of Happiness, combines her work with the collaboration of another artist and consists of more than thirty new pieces. Drawings, paintings, and sculptures explore the theme of eccentricity as it relates to behavior, boundaries, and individualism in an increasingly homogenized world. The work was shown in July 2006 at SOIL Gallery, Seattle.
