Learn About GAP

Angelique Poteat is a composer and the principal clarinetist with the Yakima Symphony Orchestra. Angelique received 2015 GAP funding to assist with her new work “Listen to the Girls,” a composition for orchestra and girls’ choir that draws inspiration from the current images and expectations that society projects on young girls, reflecting on its impact from the perspectives of the girls.  The piece will be performed by the Seattle Collaborative Orchestra (SCO) in collaboration with the Northwest Girlchoir (NWGC) at Roosevelt High School.  All SCO concerts are offered free of charge to the public.
