Anis Gisele

Anis Gisele is a bright light, a ferocious, self-loving Gemini femme. They write about race, gender-expansiveness, violence, and accountable love. They come from Manila, Philippines and from so many womxn who were told to be quiet.

Anis received 2018 GAP Award funding to finish their first full-length poetry manuscript, bright light :: tala. This collection will lift up the traumas and majesty of one queer femme of color. It will not explain itself to tourists, to those who cannot see their own lives and godly lineage in this book.
