About

Arlo Sage King is a choreographer, theatre maker, sculptor, and leather worker. They grew up in rural New England and hold a degree from Bennington College in postmodern dance, sculpture, theatre, and costume. Their work exists within intersections of movement, sculpture, and theatre. Arlo is exploring deep somatic disembodiment, digestion, and re embodiment through the lenses of Butoh, wearables, drag, and installation art. They work with fibers, latex, metal, and clay, among other natural found or grown materials. Arlo exists as a queer, trans, dynamically disabled, autistic person. They celebrate the pedestrian and diagonal processing. They are investigating the space within pause. They have presented work across the Pacific Northwest, as well as in Vermont, Germany, and Italy. Arlo is currently based in the Seattle, WA focusing on Butoh and their reemerging sculpture practice.
