About

Arturo Solorio is a first-generation Mexican American and passionate photographer based in the charming small town of Tieton Washington. He graduated with a BS in Psychology and a minor in Fine Art from Washington State University in 2021. He primarily uses analog film cameras because it allows him to capture emotion, nostalgia, and his personality with color, light, text, shapes, and textures. He is gravitated towards the unpredictability of film which often leads to experimentation, color shifts, and creative surprises. Arturo’s work has been featured in several exhibitions. Some include Kolors Studio and Hotel Crocodile in downtown Seattle, Revelry Room and By and By skate shop in West Seattle, Boxx Gallery in Tieton WA, and Oak Hollow Custom Framing and Gallery in Yakima WA. Arturo is the primary photographer and social media manager for Tieton Mosaic and Boxx Gallery located in Tieton, WA. Most recently he has been working with local Tieton artist Trimpin documenting his latest project for “Other Minds.” Arturo plans on getting more involved with different artist communities around Washington and organizing an exhibition in a shared studio space in Tieton, WA. He hopes to connect with like-minded individuals and grow creatively.
