About

Austin Larkin is a composer working within the spectrum of performance and environment. He studied with Eyvind Kang, Jessika Kenney, and Jarrad Powell, all whose work and philosophy remain an influence. Austin has performed throughout North America, South America, and Asia. He currently lives near the Duwamish River.

Austin received 2018 GAP Award funding to cover travel expenses to Central Java for research of a particular music that has a unique spatial and temporal presence. This research will inform his own practice as it relates to duration, spectrum, listening space, and immersion.
