About
Christine Hemp writes poetry and creative non-fiction. Her work has appeared in The Iowa Review, Zyzzyva, Drunken Boat and Boston Review among other publications. She received her M.A. in English from Middlebury College. Hemp has been appointed writer-in-residence to numerous programs, including Willamette University, Mt. Rainier National Park, and she recently completed a residency at Haystack School of Crafts where she worked with ceramicist Eddie Dominguez on a collaborative project. Among other awards, Hemp has received a Fellowship from the Vermont Studio Center and the University of Alaska Southeast’s Explorations Prize.
