About

Danielle Doell was raised in the Midwest and graduated from Ohio University with a BFA in performance and choreography. Since graduation, Danielle has worked for multiple arts-presenting organizations such as Gibney Dance Center, New York Live Arts, Dublin International Dance Festival, and The Yard.

Now, Danielle resides in Seattle and pursues her choreographic work through her creative partnership with Leah Crosby. They call themselves “LanDforms,” a name gathered from their time spent together on Martha’s Vineyard. They co-founded the partnership in 2015 and since then have presented work at The Yard, Triskelion Arts, Base, On the Boards, St. Bonaventure University, and ImpulsTanz. Doell and Crosby were recently residents at Crojik’s Croft (Michigan) and Open Flight Studio (Seattle) researching “The Life in Plastic”, their most recent project that explores the intersections between the overuse of plastic and the exploitation of women.

Danielle received 2018 GAP Award funding for her project, “The Life in Plastic.” This funding will pay LanDforms artists for rehearsals and allow “LanDforms” an emergence as young choreographers. Performances will frame a “perfect,” pocket-sized plastic world while exploring the intersections between the overuse of plastic and the exploitation of women.
