About
David Lombardi received a 2004 GAP to help subsidize the cost of studio space for several months while continuing to complete a collection of short stories entitled The Neon Fruit Supermarket. Included in this collection is “That’s the Sound of Industry,” a story which takes place in a Michigan auto plant and explore “the ideas of class and power and how they collide when a naïve and idealistic college student is introduced for the first time to the world of blue collar work and workers.
