About

Elizabeth Buschmann received 2008 GAP Award funding for the purchase of conductive fibers/thread, wearable micro controller lillypad arduino, and an industrial sewing machine. Her project is an investigation in performative aspects of social interaction, articulated with imbedded wearable technology in theatrical costuming. Using the heartbeat as an improvisational tool within performance, the interlacing of pulse and narrative arch test the architecture between physical bodies and cultural archetypes. Elizabeth is interested in how affected light sources physically intermingle and further articulate their relationships within the narrative structure.
