About

Ellie Sandstrom is a choreographer, performer and dance educator fueled by movement in many forms. After graduating with a BFA from Cornish College of the Arts, she worked with many local notables for over a decade. Her work has been commissioned by a wide variety of organizations and production companies, as well as many local groups and artists. She has received funding from the Office of Arts & Culture and Artist Trust and is a “Spotlight Award” winner. She teaches dance at Velocity, through STG’s Dance This Program and is the Dance Department Chair at the Northwest School.

Ellie received a 2013 GAP to assist with artist fees for rehearsals and performances for her evening length dance production, the Series For. This production examines the balance of nurturing and being nurtured, through dance, with choreography by the artist. The Series For will include a solo, a duet, a trio and a quartet, with four dancers and two live musicians.
