Learn About GAP

Emily Stout received her B.F.A. in Printmaking from The Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design and an M.F.A. in Interdisciplinary Studio Art from The Memphis College of Art and Design. Her work has been published in New American Paintings 2011 No. 93 and Wooster Collective’s online forum.

Emily received 2015 GAP funding for the completion of drawings for an installation titled “Earth Body.” Funding will assist in additional drawings materials, rent studio space and a stipend so that she can immerse herself in the work with minimal interruptions. Emily’s work explores the relationship between living human bodies and the earth’s ecosystem.
