About

A first-generation, Latinx/POC writer, Ernest Langston is the author of two novels, Born from Ashes and Beyond Everyday Secrets. His short fiction has appeared in Litro Magazine, The Plentitudes Journal, Oyster River Pages, and other publications. Ernest received support from Centrum, 4Culture, Vashon Artist Residency, Sitka Center for Arts and Ecology Artist Residency, and Takt Artist Residency. He holds a BA in English and a certificate in Professional and Technical Communications from San Jose State University, a certificate in Writing from University of Washington, and an MFA in Creative Writing from Goddard College. After recently completing a novella, a pair of novelettes, and a collection of short stories, Ernest has shifted his focus to his next novel, in addition to creating a series of Abstract Expressionism paintings.
