About
Esther Ervin is an interdisciplinary visual artist known for her work in ceramics, sculpture, jewelry, and public art. Her art often reflects a blend of cultures, techniques, and materials. Raised in Somerville, New Jersey, Ervin’s artistic journey has been influenced by her time as a Peace Corps volunteer in Colombia.
Esther Ervin’s work can be seen currently at the Evergreen State College, Olympia, WA and in the Shunpike Storefronts Program in South Lake Union.

Her jewelry has been exhibited in Washington, Oregon, Beijing, China; Vilnius and Palanga, Lithuania and Gdansk, Poland.
Recent Activities Ervin is involved with the Garfield Super Block Coalition in Seattle, where she contributes to curatorial efforts and supports the visibility of multicultural artists, and an ongoing project with the Black Arts West Alumni Association illustrates her commitment to making Black theater history accessible.
