About

Ethan Folk is an artist working in experimental film, performance, and installation. He has created and presented work in Bellingham, East Timor, Thailand, Italy, Germany, Georgia, the UK, and Serbia. Ethan Ethan’s work explores themes of contagion, emergent behavior, and deeply immersive performative states.

Ethan received 2015 GAP funding for his creation “VERNAE”, an ongoing experimental film and performance work based on “The Rite of Spring.” The grant will support post-production of the 35-minute film, artist fees, and the purchase of materials for creating experimental footage rooted in fluid dynamics systems. GAP support will also allow for uninterrupted time to towards completion of the project.
