About
Ghida Sinno is working on a short story collection that tackles the 9/11 attacks from six different perspectives, some of which are Arab-American and most of which address the tragedy’s impact on the national psyche, then and now. She received 2007 GAP Award funding to supplement her recent and upcoming residencies to complete these stories and submit them for publication as The Strange Case of the President of the United States. Her work shifts between existential, political, and personal themes in a voice drawn with the eye of a newly fluent English speaker and shaded with irony, humor, and insight. Ghida served as a resident artist in the 2008 Jack Straw Writers Program.
Ghida also received a 2001 GAP Award.
