About

After growing up in Walla Walla, WA, graduating in 1974 from Pacific Lutheran University with a BFA, Gina was hired as one of the early “Artists in Residence” at the Spokane Art School (1974). 1985, she was one of the founding coordinators, serving 10 years for the Northwest Museum of Art’s “ArtFest.” In 2005, Gina was awarded the City of Spokane’s “Arts Award for Individual Artist.” In 2017, she was the YWCA of Spokane’s “Women of Distinction” in the arts. She was a 1996 Washington State Artist Trust “Gap Grant” recipient. Her work is well published including, “100 Northwest Artists” Schiffer Publishing, Author: E. Ashley Rooney. From 1996 – 2017, Gina taught in the art department at Gonzaga University. In 2013 she joined Trackside Studio Ceramic Art Gallery as an exhibiting partner. Retired from teaching, she volunteers teaching drawing to high school students in the Mead School District, Spokane, WA.
