About

Ifrah F. Ahmed is a writer, chef, and recipe developer whose work centers around food, culture, memory, and migration. She is the founder of MILK & MYRRH, a Somali culinary pop-up that frequently sells out in Los Angeles, Seattle, and New York City. Ifrah is a regular contributor to New York Times Cooking, where her recipes and writing have been published both online and in print. She has been published in or covered by Vogue, NPR, Eater, Washington Post, LA Times Food, T Magazine and TASTE. Ifrah was named one of Cherry Bombe’s ‘Future of Food 50’ in 2023 and previously consulted for the Apple TV show “Little America.” She is working on her debut book for publisher Hardie Grant USA, titled ‘SOOMAALIYA.’
