About

Jean Ferruzola received her MFA from the University of Washington. Her work has appeared in Brevity, The Los Angeles Review, The Offing, and ELLE Magazine among others. She was a 2014-2015 Made at Hugo House fellow.

Jean received 2016 GAP funding to support the development and completion of Wood Smoke and Forgetting: Breaking a Family Curse, a short lyrical memoir grappling with issues of family and abuse, biracial identity, and the use of traditional healing practices in a modern landscape.
