About

Jeff Ferguson holds an A.A.S. in Photography from Spokane Falls Community College and B.A. in Communications from Whitworth University. Much of the inspiration for his work comes from his Native heritage (he is a Spokane Tribal member) and both the urban and rural areas of the Inland Northwest. Although most of his work is commercial, portraiture and sports photography, his passions lie in editorial, nature and landscape, as well as cultural preservation documentary photography.

Jeff received 2015 GAP funding to help create a photo exhibit of Coastal Native American Dancers in traditional regalia. The 16-piece exhibit will be printed on 20×30 inch canvas and is part of an eight-part series through which the artist is documenting Northwest Coastal, Great Basin, Great Plains, Southwestern, California and Norwestern tribes. The current exhibit will be completed by September 2016.
