Jennifer Culkin received 2008 GAP Award funding to cover travel and other costs not covered by her publisher for promoting her full-length collection of personal essays titled Four Souls Abroad. Her essays deal with topics ranging from her lengthy career in critical care nursing to motherhood in middle age.
