About

Jennifer Jasper has been a part of the Northwest theater scene for nearly three decades. Her play “et•y•mol•o•gy” was a winner of the Samuel French Off Off Broadway Short Play Festival in New York City. She has performed throughout her career in improvisation, and has developed and performed three autobiographical solo shows. Jennifer was a resident director of Printer’s Devil Theater. She produces, hosts and curates a monthly cabaret entitled “Family Affair–Cabaret served up family style” at The Jewel Box Theater. She co-founded the improvisational company Kings’ Elephant Theatre as well as Vixen Productions. She will be returning to NYC in 2016 for a showcase of her short plays Off Broadway with MBL Productions.

Jennifer received 2015 GAP funding for “Bullygirl,” a solo show using a combination of traditional oral storytelling and performance, to relate her experience in junior high school of being a bully, being bullied and finding the courage to stand up to peer pressure. GAP funding will support the developing stages for the project as it grows into a show appropriate for performance in middle schools. Performances will include group discussions of the issues illustrated in the show.
