About

Jeremy Whittington is a creator based in Spokane Valley, Washington. After studying theatre at Ohio University, he relocated to Spokane, where he began his recovery journey in 2009. He went on to earn a BFA in Graphic Design, graduating Summa Cum Laude in 2014, and soon became deeply engaged in regional theatre—acting, designing, directing, and leading. From 2020 to 2024, Whittington served as Artistic Director of Stage Left Theater, guiding the company to state, regional, and national recognition, including an AACT National Championship for its production of Pass Over.

In 2021, he received the Governor’s Arts & Heritage Luminary Award for his role in sustaining the arts during the pandemic, and in 2023 he was named one of the Top 20 Emerging Leaders of the Pacific Northwest by Trending Northwest. Whittington credits his success to collaboration, mentorship, and community, emphasizing that nothing is created in isolation. Rooted in creativity, community, and service, his work reflects a commitment to giving back more than he takes.
