About

Jess Artigliere and Whitney Bashaw met at Common Area Maintenance, where they share studio space. They connected over Inferno: The Poet’s Novel by Eileen Myles and quickly started collaborating on literary projects. Jess is an artist publisher and birth worker. They research public and private archives with the intent to reprint feminist ephemera related to reproductive healthcare. Whitney is a writer and filmmaker who has built a community-entangled practice around the belief that collective knowledge is sacred. Their backgrounds and interests intersect to create a seasonal newspaper project, Ancient Technology News. They are both passionate about uplifting local artists and writers. This collaborative community project embraces experimentation and mistakes.
