About

Katie Metz received an Associate’s degree in graphic design from Platt College in Aurora, Colorado. Her works are held in numerous private collections worldwide. Metz’s paintings have been exhibited in annual one-woman shows at Friesen Gallery, Abmeyer Wood Fine Art and Publicis in Seattle. She has also exhibited in the Southwest including GF Contemporary in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Katie’s painting style was created for the purpose of expressing and presenting life in the city and has become a catalyst for a wide array of new possibilities that branch out from the general topic of “city life.”

Katie received 2015 GAP funding to assist with travel expenses and other fees in preparation of her solo exhibit, “City Series 2015,” in Santa Fe, New Mexico at GF Contemporary. Katie is also looking to expand her career by obtaining studio space required to begin other new project ideas.
