About

La Espiritista is the co-founder of Share the Spirit, a small, healing arts business that helps individuals clear limiting beliefs, heal energetic wounds, and open creative channels. They are the author of Butterfly: Una Transformacion, a spiritual collection of poetry which speaks about the process of inner transformation through four phases of metamorphosis: release. renewal. retreat. rebirth. Through their poetry they explore a variety of themes ranging from healing, self-love, sexuality, faith, gender expression, trauma, reclamation.

La Espiritista has performed their poetry nationally and internationally in venues such as Seattle Poetry Slam, Nuyorican Poets Café, Highline College, Vancouver B.C. Red Gate’s Art Society, UC Davis, and more. Much of their art is a manifestation of their exploration of queer spirituality and sexuality. It is the purest connection to the healing rhythms embedded in all forms of life universally.

La Espiritista received 2018 GAP Award funding for their first book of poetry, Butterfly: Una Transformación. Their book is about integration of past, present, and future, dark and light, masculine and feminine, spirituality and sexuality. It is divided into four chapters representing the four phases of metamorphosis.
