Laura DeLuca received 2007 GAP Award funding to commission, perform, and record a clarinet concerto from a talented 20 year old Russian composer, Alissa Firsova who is presently studying at the Royal Academy in London. Laura plans to premiere the piece in the fall of 2008 with the Northwest Sinfonietta at the Pantages Theatre in Tacoma, Washington and produce a professional quality recording.
