About
Ling Chun is a multimedia artist from Hong Kong currently based in Seattle, Washington. She works primarily in ceramics, hair, and neon, using these materials to explore themes of identity, cultural memory, and the disappearing visual language of home.
Ling was named a 2020 Emerging Artist by the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts (NCECA) and has held residencies at the Archie Bray Foundation and Pottery Northwest. She has exhibited internationally and was shortlisted for the 2019 Young Masters Art Prize in London and was a finalist for the 2021 Korea International Ceramics Biennale. In 2020, she received the ArtBridge Fellowship sponsored by Chihuly Garden and Glass. Ling is an ceramic educator at North Seattle College. Her current work investigates Chinese neon sign making as both a disappearing craft and a personal form of preservation—combining light and clay to reflect her evolving sense of home and belonging.
