Nicole Teeny

Nicole Teeny received 2010 GAP Award funding towards the post-production budget, editor, director, and website fees for her feature documentary, Bible Quiz. The film follows 17-year-old Mikayla Irle, her captain J.P. O’Connor, and the Tacoma Life Center Quiz Team on their quest to memorize and recite the Bible and win the National Bible Quiz Championship in Green Bay, Wisconsin. She and thousands of other evangelical teens across the US compete to see who can quote the fastest and the best in this intense, trivia-style competition.

In 2013, Bible Quiz won Slamdance Film Festival’s Grand Jury Prize for Best Documentary Feature, plus BIBLE QUIZ screened at the Tacoma, Ellensburg, Local Sightings (NW Film Forum), and Gig Harbor Film Festivals.
