About

Noel Franklin is a Seattle cartoonist. Her comics have appeared in Skulptura, the Pancevo Biennial of Art Anthology; The Strumpet, an international magazine of womens’ comics; local publications The Stranger and Seattle Weekly; and more. She has new work forthcoming in the Ghosts of Seattle Past anthology and Not My Small Diary #19. Self-published titles include Gone Girl Comics and Jezinkas. Her first graphic novel, Girl On The Road, has garnered grants from 4Culture, and the City of Seattle Office of Arts and Culture.

Noel Franklin recieved 2016 GAP funding for her graphic novel, Girl On The Road. She will complete a 24-page sample chapter of Girl On The Road, including illustration and lettering, and print the sample chapter as a stand-alone minicomic to share with potential agents and publishers, as well as to sell at comics events to generate interest in the book moving forward.
