About
Patricia Ridenour is an internationally published and exhibited fine art photographer who also does commercial and editorial work. Her provocative figurative photographs have been in Vogue, Mirabella, and Ornament magazines. Her photography, while widely varied, always starts with a concept and/or narrative. She has worked with a variety of different fashion designers to produce innovative advertisements. She has been on the faculty at The Photographic Center Northwest in Seattle for over 15 years. Exhibits of her work have toured internationally.
Patricia will use her 2011 GAP to help cover expenses for a solo photographic exhibition of her series Surface. Surface has won a first place award from the International Photography Awards, and has been published in their book. One image was accepted by Metro as part of a 4Culture grant with Metro and The Photo Center NW. Ridenour has been photographing synchronized women swimmers as they prepare for competition.
