About

Peter Donnelly is a queer performing artist, director and playwright based in Seattle, WA.

He received 2016 GAP funding to develop his current project, hooked up, a solo-show exploring Grindr and hookup culture. Previously shown as part of this year’s Northwest New Works Festival at On the Boards, the show uses puppetry, dance, comedy and drag to create an irreverent, surreal world. Peter will produce a full-length version of the piece in the fall of 2017.

Some of his past performances include a disco alien dance installation and French-Canadian bouffon clown, which showed at NEPO 5k Don’t Run and the Seattle Art Museum. Peter earned his BA in theatre arts from the University of Washington, and has worked as a costumer with many theatre around Seattle.
