About
Phoebe Toland received her BFA degree from Rochester Institute of Technology as a painting major in 1975. She attended graduate school at Montana State University from 1980 – ’83 and received a MFA in painting. She then returned to Montana after living in Philadelphia for nine years. She has exhibited her work throughout the United States, especially in the Northwest. Her most recent solo show was at the Holter Museum of Art in Helena, MT in 2013. She received a Gottlieb Grant in 2006 and a MT Arts Council Innovation Grant in 2009.
