About

Rachel Green creates site-specific multimedia performances that tell stories about our human condition. She infuses her work with delicate and volatile expressions of human feeling. She regards the body as a container for emotions and takes inspiration from nature to explore how we harness our own power, wildness, wonder, and freedom.

Some of the organizations where Rachel has presented her work include the Jack Straw Cultural Center, On The Boards, Velocity Dance Center, Duwamish Revealed, Lo-Fi Festival at Smoke Farm, Ghost Gallery, Hedreen Gallery, Out of Sight, Oxbow Gallery, and Inscape Arts.

Rachel received 2018 GAP Award funding for SOUNDING, a new film based on three select performance and photographic images from previous works. This valuable funding will allow her the space and time to explore the images in greater depth, and to present them in a new body of work.
